Christine Chapman Flay
I am an ESL teacher at two K-8 schools in NC.  I have my students every year for as long as they are at my school (usually K-8).  I get to watch them grow and change.  I get to know their parents.  They learn to trust me and come to me for help.
I have finished my ESL and AIG Licensing requirements!
Now on to take my Praxis II in Spanish. Then my husband wants me to start on my masters!
I truly love my job.

Thank You God!!
The boys are doing well.
Buddy, 13 now and every bit a teenager!
Bud went on his trip to Holland with the People to People Sports Ambasador Program.  He had a blast and came back with even more confidence -if that's possible.
Fall soccer has started, again.  Bud is playing on a U14 team.   He will be playing winter soccer with the high schoolers now that he is in 8th grade, he thinks.  He told me he will be trying out for the school musical (Cindarella) and he and Danny want to join the Chess Club.  Bud is still in scouts, though he has moved, with a friend, to a different troop.
Bud and Dan are in a youth group at the church next door and are loving their activities and service to God.

Danny, 10 now!
Danny went to a soccer/church camp this summer.  He is playing with more confidence now too.  He is actually liking playing forward and goaling..
He has got a great teacher this year who is aware of Danny's ways and works with him.  She is trying to get him help like I am.  He is in process, at school, to look at his ability to stay on task.  He has also been to a specialist to test him for some genetic issues.
We are praying for what is best for Danny....Yeah God!!
Danny is amazingly intelligent and thinks out of the box regularly.

He and Bud are extatic right now.  CJ lost his phone and told the boys that if they found it for him he would: for Danny, do 2 weeks of chores and give him $10; for Buddy, do 3 weeks of chores.  They found the phone while making a fort in Buddy's room, together.  CJ is now doing both boys' chores - washing dishes, putting them away, cleaning counters, cleaning off, setting and clearing the table; along with his own duties.

Danny's Poem

In my mind I have a picture

And in that picture I can see
me at Adam's house

I see a big tree

And in that tree I see
lots of caterpillars

And by those caterpillars I see
Adam and I laughing

And I was thinking 'this is
great"!

Hunter is still a spitfire.
He is playing soccer this year.  I am coaching his team.  I am having the most fun!!! There are 5 kids, Hunter is the second youngest but the tallest.  You can tell the kids who have older brothers and sister who play.  They know what to do.  The others just kind of run with the crowd.
Hunter scored several goals at yesterday's game.  We don't keep score at this age but he was a dynamo.  Our next practice we'll be talking about sharing with our team mates though...
Hunter likes going to 'Gige's School'  That is what we call his babysitter's house.  He takes his books, paper, crayons and pencil.  She is teaching him to 'write'.  He knows how to count to 10.  He recognizes some written numbers.  He can sing his ABC song, mostly.  He knows his colors and some shapes.  He is a wiz on the computer.
I don't know what Kindergarten is going to bring in 2 years.  That will be very interesting!!!
CJ
CJ is now working at a different middle school.  He fits in better and loves his students.  He says that school has been in for almost a month and he hasn't written anyone up yet.  What a change.
He is still working on his master's classes.  He should be done by Christmas.  YEAH GOD!!!  Then it will be my turn to start.    :o[ ]  Yes we are insane.

We have volunteered to help out at a Revolutionary War General's place this Halloween.  We will be in costume, giving tours and showing how things were done.  The boys will be helping too.  Hunter wants to go as well.  He looks so cute in the outfit.  I will post pics.
