Josh wrote the song after the band got back from being on tour. As expected of a family, the band members were smothered by theirs with affection....which, unfortunately, wasn't something they wanted. After being on the road for so long, the band was of course glad to see their family, but they also wanted some "Me" time. They were glad to be home, but they wanted a little more privacy..."Home is this quiet place where you should be alone..."
