I think "She Paints Me Blue" is a song about how much Andrew loves Kelly, his girlfriend, and how she's the world to him. Especially during the chorus where it reads "You are my reason for breathing." I think the quote "She paints me blue" symbolizes how when you're blue, you're considered sad. I think Andrew is saying that he's so upset about being away from her and everything else that she makes him sad (paints him blue).
