"Forget december, it won't be better than I remember it before" is kind of saying forget about the Christmas holdiays and shit because it's never gonna be like it was when I was little ever again [due to Andrew's parents divorcing]. It sounds like a family drama type of song.

andrew didnt write forget december, so it wouldnt be about andrew's parents divorcing... josh wrote this song.... so what ever it has to do with... i think its from josh's view... im not sure what the song means, but i think maybe its like, how sometimes, the winter holidays like christmas and new years makes people a little nicer, but as josh describes, "the routine Riot"... the same thing is still happening, just like it happens all the other months of the year. "these words are tainted, with years of jaded" he means maybe that he's just heard these things so much... and "not so holy anymore" ... of course he wants to "forget december" because its not the same as it used to be, its not calm, and its not peaceful, its just the same as all the other months of the year for him...
