Alrite, we have more song meanings written by Austin so go check those out. There are also two that I added submitted by Alicia. Believe me, she really knows what she's talking about so be sure to read them! Also, I know that "Space" wasn't up for very long but please know that it is not my fault. If you really want to hear it, I suggest you get in touch with Ryan (AIM: Bullet1979). On anohter note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEVON!!! Woo!! OK that's all I've got right now.

Hey, there are lots of new updates! I wrote up song meanings for "Cavanaugh Park", "Hurricane", "I Wanna Save You", and "Straw Dog". I also posted a song meaning submitted by Austin on "Hurricane" and "I Woke Up In A Car". I'm trying to get everybody's song request meanings in, so if you have some that I haven't covered yet then please feel free to email me. My email address is linked to my name above. Also for a special treat, thanks to Ryan (AIM: Bullet1979), you can click here to be directed to the place where you can hear the new song "Space." It will only be up for a few days, though, so hurry! That's all for now.

Now it's MY turn to tell everyone that I'm going away and will not be able to update until I get back - one day before my Something Corporate/311 show on August 15th. I'll be in Arizona, Las Vegas, and California over the next few weeks. Good thing Katie came back just in time. I'll miss you all. Hopefully I can find a computer somewhere at one point.

You're just in time for a HUGE update. Most importantly, I have added a humor section as you can see. Click it and have a look around at the subsections within it. I've moved the parodies there, as well as some new things! I also added two quizzes from Monica, various icons from Leanne and Krissie, and two parodies from Jenji and Ley. I would like to thank Leanne for all her help with the new section; she contributed SO many things, and I could not have put it up without her! Hope you all enjoy the new stuff.

Go to SomethingCorporate.com to see the BRAND NEW LAYOUT! I love it, and there is a new splash page with a picture of the cover for North, and some picture of them that I've never seen before. It all looks very cool. I'm trying very hard to sound like I'm calm right now. Go check it out. Go. C'mon.

Leanne made a very interesting journal icon, which has been added.

I changed around the pictures, links, and interviews pages so that each link opens up a new browser window, because I found it to be pretty annoying when a website opens in that small site window. If anyone finds a link that doesn't work or is to a wrong page, please IM me or something so I can fix it right away. I also added a parody by Monica, as well as an AIM icon by Sara!

Leanne made a TON of kickass icons: a few new journal icons (I've already taken one!), and lots of AIM icons for every member of the band!

ATTENTION EVERYONE IN THE NEW YORK AREA: I am trying really hard to get a Something Corporate show booked at a venue called The Downtown for the next tour. I have already emailed The Downtown and the booking address on Something Corporate's website. I think that if a lot of people emailed The Downtown/Something Corporate booking, there would be a better chance of this show happening. If you would like to help out, please email The Downtown and Something Corporate Booking and tell them how happy you would be if Something Corporate did an upcoming show at The Downtown. Thanks in advance to everyone that helps. Anyway... I just put up a MIDI file I made for Forget December. It's probably one of the worst MIDIs I've ever made, but check it out anyway.

I added a LOT of journal icons that I made, and also a very cool animated one by Krissie. Keep contributing icons! They'll all be posted. As I hear, Something Corporate played an awesome set at Warped Tour in Ventura, and you can click here to check out all the pictures from that day. If you go through them, somewhere near the end is a cute picture of Andrew with his girlfriend, Kelly. Hope everyone's busy getting as excited for the upcoming shows as I am.

Yet another update from the main SoCo site: "Recently back from a sold-out tour of Europe, Drive-Thru/Geffen Records band Something Corporate stopped by their homes in Dana Point, California to re-pack their bags and head out on the road once again. This time with 311 on a six week tour of the U.S. beginning July 15 in Bakersfield, CA. Something Corporate is also about to put the finishing touches on the follow-up to their 2002 debut album Leaving Through The Window. The band recorded the new album at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle. Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank and Something Corporates debut album) returns as the bands producer. Look for the new album, titled North, to be released in October 2003. Most tracks were written by lead singer/pianist Andrew McMahon, with additional songs written by Something Corporate guitarist Josh Partington. Finding time to write the songs was a challenge as the band was on the road all of last year. Andrew would steal moments to write his new songs (one of his favorites was written during a soundcheck in Amsterdam). But Andrew cautions the album is not a road record in any conventional sense. "Its not so much about the road, says Andrew, as it is about being away. Its a little more poignant and assertive then the last album. Some of the songs featured on North include, 21 And Invincible, Me And The Moon, Ruthless and Miss America. Comprised of pianist/vocalist Andrew McMahon, guitarists Josh Partington and William Tell, bassist Clutch, and drummer Brian Ireland, Something Corporates premiere Drive-Thru/MCA Records album, Leaving Through The Window shipped in May 2002, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and #1 on the Billboard Alternative New Artist Albums Chart. Leaving Through The Window is one of only two albums that have remained on the Alternative New Artist Albums chart for over a year - 57 weeks to be exact! The album went on to sell over 250,000 copies, thanks largely to constant touring and the success of the singles iF yoU C Jordan and I Woke Up In A Car. Something Corporate played to sold-out crowds on four U.S. tours, three European tours and a visit to Japan. When asked to perform on the main stage at last summers Warped Tour, the band defied the odds. Who would have figured a piano-based rock quintet could hold its own against so may established hard rock and punk bands? Well, Something Corporate did, drawing some of the biggest and most enthusiastic crowds on the tour. The band then joined up with New Found Glory on the road where they once again performed to sold-out houses. Earlier this year they headlined a sold-out 33 date U.S. tour before heading overseas for a European tour, which consisted of 11 sold-out dates. In early May they wowed a crowd of 300,000 at Atlantas Midtown Music Festival, sharing the bill with Ben Harper, Godsmack and Zwan." Also, check out the official site for some new pictures! Goodnight, all.

Ok, everybody, get ready for an update from Andrew on the official site!! "Hey everyone,
I just wanted to say hi and let you know I've finally been setup so I can do updates so you'll be hearing more from me in the future. First things first, we have just been added to play this Wednesday's Warped show in Ventura. When we saw we'd be in town for one of the shows we couldn't resist begging Kevin Lyman to add us and luckily he decided to, so please come out and support if you get a chance. We're also very excited for the 311 tour. To those of you whose cities we won't make it to and/or are having ticket price problems, we are sincerely sorry. I know that doesn't make it easier, but there are certain things we can't control when it's not our tour. Nevertheless, the shows will be awesome and we're looking forward to doing an extensive headliner to support our new album "North" Come October. So well be back through your town soon. We'll be mixing all week and we're so happy with the record so keep your eyes out for some sample tracks soon." I added a new page which contains SoCo articles. If you have an article that you would like to submit, please email us and we will get it up as soon as we can. Have a great night!!

Yeah, hope everyone's having a good 4th of July, because mine could not be any more boring. I've just started learning how to use this program called Finale for the sheet music. I realized that I was recording the melody as the right hand part, which is what I usually play on the right hand when I'm figuring out songs. Would you guys mind having the melody there for the sheet music? I know most people would like the real piano part so they can sing along or whatever, but this is what's easiest for me. Plus it sounds fine. Yeah. Okay. Bye.

The site's only been up for a couple days and we've got 300+ visitors so far. THANK YOU to everyone who's been checking out the site! The list section is now working and Katie's list is up. If you make a list, let us know! I also just added an icons section. No AIM icons yet, but it's got icons for your LiveJournal, uJournal, or whatever the hell you have. The animated icons, for some reason, aren't moving, but I'm sure that I'll figure it out later or something. I was thinking, would anyone like a music section? I'm not very good with sheet music, but I play the songs by ear and I'd type the chords and notes out if anyone's interested. Either tag the board, IM me or email me if you are.
