First pre-natal visit and ultrasound visit have gone well! That little heart was racing during the ultrasound, pretty cool to finally see the little one. 2.16 cm long is what they measured (about one inch), pretty small. It still amazes me how fast a fetus grows and just how much "it" has grown already. We are doing well, Ramona has been fortunate not to be sick so far, which means Rene is lucky also. Ha ha!

10.Maerz 2007
Die Freude ist gross, kaum zu glauben, da ist ein kleiner Constantin in meinem Bauch. Uns geht es super gut. Die bisherigen Arzt Termine waren auch gut, alles ist prima.

11 weeks, 1 day. Time seems to be just flying by! The little one is about the size of a plum now according to all of these references I have been looking at. I hope not quite that round though! ha ha. Things are still going well, no real news...but as they say "no news is good news." Ramona is still doing well. I think her belly is starting to show just a little bit, kind of cute!

Almost 13 weeks! The first trimester is just about over! At our last prenatal visit (04/06/07) they did another ultrasound and took some blood from Ramona to check for abnormalities. Check out the latest ultrasound image on the pictures page. The Sonographer made us feel good about our babies condition with her comments...we'll see what the results say in about a week. They will also do another blood test at our next appointment about a month from now. The ultrasound was really cool, the length of time and what we saw made it awesome! Seeing those arms and legs move around, mouth open, and watching our baby change positions was amazing. Currently the baby is 6.5 centimeters long from head to rump, about 2.6 inches. Getting bigger!

8. April 2007
Die Zeit vergeht so schnell. Noch ein paar Tage und dann ist das erste drittel der Schwangerschaft schon vorbei. Uns geht es gut. Wir beide sind wohlauf. Hatte vor ein paar Tagen einen Termin mit der Hebamme. Mein Blutdruck usw. waren gut, sie haben nochmal Blut abgenommen fuer weitere Test. Wir haben den Herzschlag von unserem kleinen Sonnenschein gehoert, das kleine Herz schlug um die 157 Schlaege pro Minute. Wir haben dann auch noch einen Ultraschall bekommen. Es war so aufregend unser Baby zu sehen. Ziemlich klein, ganze 6,5cm aber schon sehr entwickelt. Arme, Beine, Gesicht...., wunderschoen! Es war wohlauf, hat sich morz bewegt wie es so rum luemmelt in seinem "Gebaehrmutter Sofa". Es hatte mal die Hand in den Mund gesteckt und sich umgedreht...fuehlen kann ich es noch nicht aber der Zwerg bewegt sich ganz schoen. Beim Ultraschall messen und testen sie auch fuer moegliche Behinderungen, aber alles war ok. Der naechste Termin ist dann in 4 Wochen. Wir haben ein Bild vom Ultraschall an unsere "Picture" Seite dran gehaengt. Wir freuen uns so sehr auf unseren kleinen Sonnenschein.

16 weeks, 2 days. All is well. We found out today at our pre-natal visit that our sequential screening results won't be available until after the blood given today is tested. Apparently they compare the two sets of data to determine what your risk factor is. We got them to cheat a bit though...they told us that the data from our last appointment looked good. The ultrasound measurements and the anatomy they saw looked great. On a different note, some cool news...WE GET TO FIND OUT WHAT THE SEX IS IN 3 WEEKS!! Our next appointment is May 29th for the ultrasound and usual screening. They told us we will get a cd with the video of the ultrasound on it, that should be awesome. I will have to see if I can post it on here. Ramona is doing well, she's really starting to show now. She's a cute little momma. Stay tuned to see who guessed correctly!

4. Mai 2007
Heute hatten wir wieder einen Termin mit der Hebamme. Wir sind jetzt 16 Wochen und 2 Tage schwanger. Alles war beim besten. Blutdruck war gut. Blut wurde auch genommen fuer weitere Test. Aber soweit ist alles prima. Haben den Herzschlag wieder von unserem kleinen Zwerg gehoert. Es hoert sich so toll an.
Der naechste Termin ist am 29. Mai, wir bekommen einen Ultraschall, wo wir dann auch rausfinden werden ob es ein Bub oder Maedl ist. Wir bekommen sogar einen DVD mit der Ultraschallaufnahme. Uebrigens, so langsam passen mir keine Hosen und Roecke mehr, die Reisverschluesse gehen nur halb zu und der Knopf gar net. Aber das macht ja nix. Wir haben bei den "Pictures" ein Bild von meinem Bauchi mit dran gehaengt. Schaut's Euch an!

18 weeks, 3 days! Moving right along...time flies lately! Our sequential screening results arrived a week ago or so, everything came back as "normal" so that is good news. 10 more days till our ultrasound, hopefully he or she will be cooperative...we are pretty excited!

Ok, so it has been a little while since I have added any updates. Right now we are 28 weeks and 4 days pregnant! Time flies! We are all doing well, our baby boy is fattening up in preparation for the big day. As of last week he was supposed to be about 2lbs 5oz...and growing! Ramona's baby bulge is growing every day it seems, you can really feel the little guy inside moving around in there! I guess that growing body is starting to feel a bit restricted. Funny how at first his whole body fit on the ultrasound screen at once, yet now you have to look at one part at a time. I will add some pictures for you all to check out.

Jetzt verging 'ne ganze Weile bis ich mal wieder hier was schreibe. So, nun...Wir sind sind jetzt 28 Wochen und 4 Tage schwanger und wir hatten bisher einige Arzttermine. Haben rausgefunden das unser kleiner Zwerg ein Bube ist. Wir freuen uns riesig. Einige der Ultraschall Bilder koennt ihr ja bei der Picture Seite anschaun. Mein Bauch waechst, er wird immer runder. Der kleine Mann boxt und bohrt auch morz umeinander. Ist schon ein tolles Gefuehl ihn zu spueren und zu sehn wie mein Bauch sich bewegt oder verschiebt, je nachdem wo er sich hindrueckt. Er ist schon ueber 1 kg schwer. Er legt morz zu. So ist alles prima. Heute hatte ich die Arbeits-Babyshower. Wir haben viele tolle Geschenke bekommen. Der naechste Arzt Termin ist in ein paar Wochen und dann bekommen wir nochmal 'nen Ultraschall. Es ist immer so aufregend ihm am Bildschirm zu sehen wenn er sich bewegt usw.
