Bio: Nothing can be said for Lucian's ways, it was simply the way he was raised. Born as the runt into a pair of children, he would never had survived without his mother's indignant wish not to raise the boys. Bartholomew Bower, master of the estate and promiscuously infamous women-chaser, had made the mistake of wronging the right woman. While the package of two sons would be frowned upon by most, Bartholomew found it as a gift, though his attention was split. Lucian was the lucky one, the frail and beautiful child, as opposed to his brother, Mathias, whom would soon take on the dark and sturdy look of a fighter.Though Lucian grew up as the favored son, this burden bore more than his brother assumed. In the beginning the first born was delicate, plagued by constant sickness and his father's insatiable show-and-tell attitude. The boy was always on the very edge of exhaustion, though most of his appearances would say otherwise. He quickly learned that being the show-dog took a lot of work, but Lucian also acquired the ability to outshine even his father's expectations. Mathias' world was far more enticing to young Lucian. Many a time he would find himself watching his brother during spare moments, spending all free time that he could with him. But Bartholomew's schedule for the boy impeded his ability to linger with anyone not of the social agenda, let alone his brother. As he grew older, even despite his endless compliments to Mathias, Lucian never quite managed to even the scale. And so a miniature Bartholomew began to emerge. Just strong enough to hold himself in battle, just perfect enough to manipulate and charm. His strengths would lie in matters of the mind rather than the fighting body. But even through his training as the new Bartholomew Bower, Lucian always had an eye out for his twin. Needless to say, he did not share his father's views on Mathias. Lucian's demeanor became more and more stereotypically Bower everyday. At first he became loud and frivolous to the point of absurdity, the instantaneous inheritance from his father. Not quite as daft as Bartholomew, however, Lucian soon discovered the perfect median between the outrageous and tame; through trial and error, of course. Considerably more eloquent than his father, he soon inherited the ways of a woman-chaser as well. Complaints were few and far between, and the father and son held secrets, tricks, and stories while alone. Despite the friendliness between the two, Lucian was never quite as fond of his father as he had shown. This personal guise of his was often used within the family. A very few folk were truly good in Lucian's eyes, but he knew not to voice his opinion. The Bower family was vicious upon betrayal, acting swiftly--and often without thought beforehand--on the very word of a wrong done to them. This holding true, it was safer to pretend than to act on his feelings for the dreadful aristocrats that surrounded him. The wit and appeal at which Lucian approached life ruled supreme. Rarely ever nice without a motive, he found ways to poise various nobles around him, ready to bestow favors at the right moment. Various training was always squeezed in on the side, though his innate skill to learn upon exposure was unmistakable. His awe inspired by his brother only wavered when Mathias was gone, a period of years without his twin. Lucian, however, did not find the separation quite as dull as expected. In fact, several great events occurred free of Mathias' eye. Though not truly proud of the activities he joined, there had been and would not be any backing out. But all that mattered was the fact that Lucian, despite his shady activities, was not responsible for his father's death; contrary to popular belief. Already burdened, the runt was fit to burst with various to-dos and contracts. The accumulated contacts, business ordeals, and other events have become overload for the new master. Even his cunning little brain couldn't help from being one-minded...even if it caused him to fall less than what was expected on the warrior front. Fighting had never been his job, anyway. Lucian had his brother for that.
