2 - USC No one has even come close to touching USC this season, but, aside from Virginia Tech (which was a close game), they have yet to play any team east of the Rockies.
3 - Oklahoma OU did handled a feisty OSU team who has had the upper hand in the bedlam series as of late. OU is good, but they can be beaten. They don't look invincible, as Auburn & USC do.
4 - Cal That's right. They jumped Wisconsin? Why? Because the Bears are one of the best teams in the nation whose only loss came to USC in a game that could have gone either way. The Bears once again proved how good they are last week when they shut out Arizona St.
5 - Wisconsin The Badgers had the week off and take on a reeling Minnesota team this week. I hope Michigan St. or Iowa can beat these posers.
6 - Texas UT has a big game this week vs. Oklahoma St. This game is critical to their chances at getting an at-large BCS bowl berth.
7 - Utah Utah is good, but it's gonna be hard for them to climb any higher than this. As far as their chances at a BCS game, A&M's loss to Baylor really hurts the Utes' chances. Utah & A&M will have to win out for Utah to even have a shot at a BCS bowl.
8 - Michigan This is the best team in the Big 10 right now. They survived a thriller vs. Michigan St. and now have a week off before playing Northwestern. Michigan is a key player in the fight for an at-large BCS bowl berth.
9 - Miami I am so glad that Miami lost. Not just because I don't like them, but more because they weren't really that good. They have been lucky to win a few of the games they've won. This loss bodes well for Virginia and Virginia Tech.
10 - Florida St. Florida St. could have had the upper hand on winning the ACC with Miami's lost, but nooooo. They have to go lose to Maryland�. Maryland lost to Clemson last week. Look for a Peach Bowl berth for the 'Noles.
11 - Tennessee Tennessee continues to win ugly. Despite the way in which they win, the Vols are on track to win the SEC East, which would set up a rematch vs. Auburn.
12 - Georgia This is the best team in the SEC East right now�. Too bad they lost to the Vols earlier this season.
13 - Virginia Tech Virginia Tech still has Miami and Virginia to go this season. The Hokies have been on fire lately� if they can keep that going, the Hokies will find themselves in either the Sugar or Fiesta Bowl.
14 - Virginia The Cavs are in the same situation that the Hokies are in� with Miami & Virginia Tech still to go, the Cavs control their own destiny.
15 - Iowa Iowa has recovered from what looked like a disaster season. Look for a berth in the Alamo Bowl.
16 - LSU The Tigers can play their way into the Cotton Bowl if they win out.
17 - Louisville Conference USA title is theirs for the taking. Its home stretch from here on out, the schedule doesn't look too rough.
18 - West Virginia The Mountaineers barely escaped with a win vs. Rutgers. They have an easy game this week vs. Temple before they play Boston College & Pittsburgh for the Big East title.
19 - Oklahoma St. The Cowboys played the Sooners tough alright. Although Ok. St. is out of the hunt for the Big XII Championship, they can still play their way into the Cotton Bowl, with Texas, Baylor & Texas Tech remaining�. A 2-1 record in those games would be acceptable.
20 - Arizona St. Arizona St. is a good team, just not a great team.
21 - Boise St. 69-3 over Hawaii. Wow.
22 - Boston College BC can still win the Big East if they win out.
23 - Purdue Purdue had such promise this season; after losing to Northwestern, they have sunk to Sun Bowl status.
24 - Texas A&M How do you lose to Baylor??? Ya, I know they were looking forward to OU, but still!
25 - UCLA UCLA proved they belong here last weekend with a 21-0 win over Stanford.
