Yo soy Chicano
I am Chicano
But do I
pensar que soy
Chicano.

La palabra Chicano
viene de Los Ángeles
“City of Culture.”

Yo soy de
San Pancho.
A cornucopia of
culture and
unique ideas.

I breathe and
live in
Mission Street.
Yo no más
he ido a la
Calle de Wilshire.

Yo soy fanático de
los Atléticos
and I yell
“ Beat LA!”
No soy Chicano.

All I am is
Mexican-American.

Tengo orgullo
Mexicano
but I don’t
let it define me.

¡ Hay Mamacita!
¡ Hay No!

Why?
That’s how the
world is.

Muchas mujeres
quieren vestirse
y tener un
cuerpo como JLo.

Society tells us
that we are
not beautiful…
the way
we are.

Tenemos que
comprar cosas
para estar
feliz en
nuestro mundo
tan cruel.

Whatever happened
to inner beauty?
I see more
of the same
people thinking
outer beauty
can make them happy.

Las pocas personas
que realmente tengan
una belleza profunda,
adentro de su cuerpo,
como la Sra. Nagra,
me encantan
me fascinan
me gustan.
