Why I Love San Francisco?

Having been born and raised in San Francisco, I just love the city. This no other city quite like it. So much openness and diversity all within a fourteen-mile radius. It’s unbelievable. How can you be bored in San Francisco? Everyday there’s events going all-around the city. I know the city very well. Some of my friends asked me to be their tour guide for taking them around SF. I know the city very well esp. since I have been using pubic transportation for the past twelve years. I hope you can enjoy the rest of the article.

Special Events
All of the big names come to San Francisco. It’s crazy. I mean I saw “No Doubt” play a concert at The Fillmore, a small venue. It gets better. I saw “the boss, ” Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band played a sold-out concert at SBC Park. That was SO AWESOME. By the way, I met my favorite actress, Parminder Nagra (“ER” and “Bend It Like Beckham”) in the Castro theatre in Nov. of 2004.
LA and NYC are just huge cities. The big names only go to certain districts. Since San Francisco is such a small city in comparison to LA or NYC, special events are just nearby.

Tourism
I am just going to list off some “tourist attractions” of San Francisco:
Union Square, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, Exploratorium, the Transamerica Building, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square (Chocolate Co.), riding on a Cable Car, Japantown, Lombard Street (the “Crookedest Street in the World”), City Hall, Twin Peaks, and even the new baseball stadium SBC Park.
I have different places I visit in SF: the Metreon (one of the top five highest grossing movie theatres in the country), Yerba Buena Gardens (where the Metreon is located), and Valencia Street. (Heralded by a magazine has one of the best kept secrets in great cuisine. In addition, it’s not that expensive).

People
This is just one day as I did some Christmas hoping on the day after Black Friday in downtown San Francisco. I am going to list the people I saw:
An ugly male transvestite asking for help at the pubic library, two homeless black people doing some “street cuts” (hair cuts on the street), people from almost every culture (I don’t want to put up another long list of…let’s see what races/cultures I know), three gay couples (from both genders) riding the bus, and finally, a guy with “moobs” (man boobs)…I think they were size 36 B.

I could go on and on. Since I am in college, I am a busy man. I hope you enjoyed a sneak peak of San Francisco. Come visit sometime. San Francisco loves tourists. If you want me to be a tour guide, then just e-mail me.
