Who are they: The Replaceables have completed their line-up and currently consist of four members; Justin Wehner - (Vocals), Sean Hughes - (Guitar), Jared Lash - (Bass), and Tony Hamilton - (Drums).
How did they meet: Sean and Tony met, ironically enough, at a church function in late September of 2004. They had the opportunity to see eachother play and decided to get together and jam, just for fun. Right around the same time Sean met "Lash" at his old High School. They too would jam together at the school just for fun. It wasn't until a year later that they would come together as a group and jam. The fun jam sessions in Tony's shop/studio soon turned into serious music writing sessions. It wasn't long before the three realized that there was something more than fun happening. They started taking their weekly jam sessions more seriously, honing their skills individually as well as a group. Eventually after about a year of jamming together, the 3 added Justin, who they met through MySpace.
Where are they going: Hopefully to fame and fortune... or at the very least, a musical and artistic paradise without borders where they can continue to make music to please even the smallest crouds. Their nearest goal is to finish more of the 20 something songs that they've written, learn more covers, get paying gigs, become recognized locally as the next up and coming band, start selling albums, continue writing music, grow in popularity, start touring, get rich, do too many drugs, throw away all their money, sue their record label, and tour the County fair circuit... OK, well hopefully they stop at the "get rich" part.
What else are they doing: Justin is a manager and works as a wood crafter at a frame shop. Sean is a student studying his general education at the local Junior College. He works a part-time job for extra cash. Lash is a physics teacher at a High School, say no more - other than thanks for being a teacher. Tony designs and builds houses with his father's company and does sound equipment rental and sound engineering on the side.. |
