Hunter Cat
On this stretch of your trek through the dripping trees, you begin to think about the next creatures you're to meet. They'll probably be hunter cats, and they'll probably be in some group of equal females and males. You think a while, letting your imagination run unchecked as you proceed through thinning trees. You know hunter cats are very territorial, but you're sure you've seen more than two together at a time. Well, hopefully here it would only be--
Your thoughts are interrupted when when a snarl and a his come from opposite directions through the trees beside you. Twisting your head frantically, you catch two very similar hunter cats bounding toward you, eyes intent. But something stops them before they hit, leaving them sliding to a halt on either side of you, legs scrambling back under them and glaring eyes on you. The darker, horned one has an arched back, teeth bared threateningly, but the lighter one sits and cocks her head curiously, looking between you and her partner. She 'meows' questioningly and sniffs up at you, tufty tail flicking. Then she stretches out on the ground and looks around contentedly.

The male manages a confused look, switching between smoothing his back and moving between you and his partner. He'd probably not expected her actions; in fact, he was probably used to being completely hostile. He circles around you to give the other a careful nudge with his horn, but she only rolls away with an annoyed hiss to him. Now, stance fading from menacing to uncertainty, the male stands there with ears flicking, eyes darting for a way out of the odd predicament.
You watch him, nervous, yet slightly amused. However, you were more than glad to help him get away; more, you'd like to get away yourself. Surprisingly, however, as you scoot back he rigs up a solution himself. And promptly begins roughly dragging a clawing, aggravated female cat into the trees by a painful grip on her tail.
Astonished, you move on.
