You hear a quiet rustling in front of you. It doesn't sound as dangerous as it does unsure. You step ahead curiously, not as afraid as you probably should be. As you reach the spot, you prepare to say, "Hello..."

But you never quite make it, for just as you're opening your mouth, a lilting voice comes from above you. "Hello to you, too," it says amiably.

"But I never even said it!" you protest.

"Yes, you did. In your mind, you did."

You pout. "But that's not fair..."

Her expression immediately changes. "I'm sorry. I won't do it again."

Humph. That's better. You liked your privacy just fine, thank you. Then you begin to look guilty, though, and search for something to say. "So... You live here, I suppose?"

A smile again. "Yes. I don't get very many visitors here. I like it that way. Nice to meet you, and welcome to my grove."

"Ah... thank you." You pause, then introduce yourself. "Who're you?" you inquire.

"Oh, yes! I forgot. I'm Amamizu--call me Rain Water. I'm a Swilue from Avara, one of ten Changelings."

"Changelings?"

"They'r--"

"Never mind!" you state quickly, able to tell she's about to launch into some long--and probably boring--lecture.

She smirks, then consents, "All right." She shifts her wings.

You giggle warily, and just watch.

She looks away, seemingly... well, bored. After a moment, she lifts into the air, wheeling around above you. At your questioning gaze, she reassures you, "Don't mind me. We can still speak--I can hear you from up here."

"Hey! I thought you weren't going to do that anymore," you cry out indignantly as her words come through to your mind.

She raises a brow, though you have a hard time seeing it. "I'm not. Just talking. I wouldn't break a promise. Just trust me, please."

"I... I'll try," you mutter.

"Why are you so sullen?" she laughs. "You got something to hide?" Mischievous cackles reach your ears.

You blush at her teasing voice. "I just want some privacy." You look darkly up at her.

"Okay... I'll stop. It's just that I rarely get visitors. I like it that way, as I've said, but sometimes these urges build up inside of you. Hey, wait!" She flaps after you as you stride down that path. You'd had enough for now. You still had many more creatures to meet. Why stay with her?

You knew inside you were being rude, but you were already pent up. Oh, well... Maybe you could come back another time. Eventually, the Swilue drops back, and you're able to continue your way home.
