THE SYSTEM
Renzoku Kei Jujutsu (Continuous Motion System of Adaptable Combative Arts) is, as its name suggests, a combative system of study which is a multi-principle discipline incorporating several martial arts, weapons and alternative lifestyles.
The martial arts of Renzoku Kei are diverse in principle and philosophy. The system is designed to teach a person literally from the ground up. The student begins with studies of all techniques from a position laying on the ground. They work up to a kneeling position and then to a standing position. After beginning studies from a standing position the student then learns defensive tactics geared toward different philosopies. For example, the student learns to block and defend against an attack to the inside of the arm. They would also learn to defend to the outside of the arm. There is also those studies which are circular and are both inner and outer techniques at the same time.
As mentioned before not all studies and practices within the Renzoku Kei Jujutsu system are martial art related. One could easely say that the martial art student leads a unique lifestyle. It was decided that the Renzoku Kei Jujutsu system would become a closed system of study and would require membership in an alternative lifestyle organization. This was decided upon so practioners of those alternative lifestyles would have a place to practice martial arts and their lifestyle in harmony.
The organization in which the members join is called The Schools and Systems of the Hidden Dragon. It is dedicated to providing instruction in the martial arts and allow for the self expression of the alternative "lifestyler." |
