Ball fields @ Liberty Park

Arlington, VA

The hot sun beat down on the dry field.  It had not rained in over a week, and it was eighty-seven degrees out at eleven o’clock in the morning.  His wet tee shirt clinging to him, AJ glanced around the bases then wiped the sweat off his face.  It was the top of the ninth inning, and it had been the longest inning yet.  AJ stood on the pitchers mound, waiting for Gunny to give him a good sign.  Repeatedly, he shook his head unsatisfied with the calls.  The JAG team was in the lead, but the bases were loaded.  The “Bombers” had two outs, and AJ knew this pitch could mean the end of the game.  He was praying for an easy out, so he could hit the showers and cool off.  “Come on, Galindez!” AJ whispered to himself.  “A fastball, give me a fastball,” he continued.  Finally, Gunny put one finger straight down to signal a fastball.  AJ delivered, throwing as hard as he could.  With the crack of the bat, he watched Mac in right field cautiously approaching the fly ball.

Mac, who was nervous about filling in for Commander Mattoni, was unsure what to do.

“Get underneath it!  Keep your eye on the ball!” AJ yelled out to her.  Mac immediately moved forward, and caught the ball.  “Yeah!” AJ said, pounding his fist into his mitt.

AS the JAG team congratulated themselves, AJ spoke to Mac, “Nice catch out there, Colonel.”

“Well, sir.  Judging by the way you yelled, I figured it was an order,” she replied, smiling.

“It was!” AJ jokingly said in a stern voice.  “Are you going to join us at McMurphy’s?”

“Yeah, if I can find a shower to use, sir.”

“There are some in the clubhouse, which is the same building as the concession stand.  They are public showers mainly used by the people running on the track or swimming,” AJ said, directing Mac towards the large, red brick building.  “I’m heading that way myself.”

“Thanks, Admiral.  Mic dropped me off, and I know he’ll want to go straight to McMurphy’s.”

“He can wait.” AJ replied, grabbing his bag.  He winked at Mac, then headed for the showers.

“Hey, Mic,” Mac said, walking up behind him.  “I’m going to head over by the concession stand.  The Admiral said there were showers over there.”

“No problem.  I’m going to stay here with little AJ and Harriet.  Bud needs to run over to JAG Headquarters.  He forgot his briefcase, and he needs the files in it.  It will be practice!” Mic replied smiling, and holding little AJ.

Mac rolled her eyes.  “Practice is good,” she simply stated while walking toward the showers.  She was also glad to be able to cool off.

Mac made her way into the building through the door marked Locker Rooms.  The hall was dark, and she could smell the musty, humid air immediately.  Mac walked past the rows of lockers quietly, looking for some place to have all to her own.  Except for the sounds of one person, the place was empty.  “Good,” she mumbled, thinking about how uncomfortable chitchatting with a stranger is while undressing.  “It’s practically all mine!”  Realizing she had no towel, Mac went in search of the other woman hoping she knew if there were any available.  As she rounded the corner near the showers, Mac heard the water turn on.  “Damn!” she grumbled.  Mac did not want to ask the woman while she was showering, so she started to tiptoe past.  Peeking in to see if it was all one room or individual stalls, Mac stopped and gasped.  With the towel still wrapped around his waist, AJ stood adjusting the temperature.  “Oh my god!” Mac quietly said stunned.  “I must be in the men’s locker room!”  For a brief moment Mac stood smiling as she watched AJ fiddle with the knobs.

“Damn it!” he exclaimed loudly.  “When I actually want cold water, I can’t get any!”  Turning off the controls, AJ tried the next one.  Cool water flowed from the showerhead, and before Mac could move, AJ pulled his towel off and set it aside.

“Mac breathed in deeply, and held her breath.  She let all the air out slowly, listening to see if anyone else had come in.  Mac could not take her eyes off AJ.  “Oh, god.  He’ll kill me!” she whispered, not sure if she meant AJ or Mic.  Mac had to cover her mouth to prevent AJ from hearing her whimper.  “He’s huge!” she thought.  AJ stepped into the running water and sighed.  Mac let her eyes wander up and down AJ’s backside.  The water ran over his head, down between his shoulder blades, and over his ass.  “Ummm,” Mac moaned quietly, rolling her tongue over her lips.  “His ass is so tight, and those legs.  Thighs and all!” she whispered.  Focusing on him, she took a few steps back to listen again.  “God, I hope no one comes in.”  AJ picked up the bar of soap, turned around, and began to lather up.  Mac jumped back against the wall, and peered around the corner.

AJ had his eyes closed.  He was completely oblivious to the fact that he was being watched.  Instead he concentrated on his shower, letting out another long sigh.  “This feels so good,” he murmured.

Mac pressed herself against the wall, looking away.  She quickly covered her mouth as she giggled uncontrollably.  “Wow!” she mumbled, peeking back around the corner.  AJ was washing his head.  His arms lifted up, Mac closely examined his chest.  The water was now running down the front of him, and his chest hair glistened in the dim light.  Mac noticed the strip of hair that ran from his bellybutton down.  “Ooo, a goody trail,” she thought, biting her lip.  As AJ slid his hands down his chest and began washing his manhood, Mac continued her visual examination.  He gently stroked the length repeatedly.  “I think he’s enjoying himself,” she whispered, again turning away to muffle her giggles.

Letting himself go, AJ turned back to face the water.  “I could stand here all day,” he said to the wall, then reached up to turn the water off.  AJ shook the excess water from his hands, and grabbed his towel.  Mac backed up to make her get away, and crashed into the garbage can.  “Shit!” she grumbled, making a run for it.

“Hello?” AJ called out.  Mac did not answer.  She had all ready made it to her belongings, and was scampering towards the exit.  The last thing she wanted was to be caught giggling like some hormone-raging schoolgirl.  Mac did not want to be caught at all.

Back outside in the hot sun, Mac was still giggling.  She ran around the side of the building, and straight into Mic.

“Hey, love!  I was just coming to find you,” he said, pulling her close.  “Are you blushing?”

“Blushing?  No, no I’m not blushing,” Mac replied, looking away.  “It is almost ninety degrees out, and I’ve been running around looking for a towel.  Mic, can you take me home? I didn’t get a shower.  No towel,” she said, pushing him towards the parking lot.

“What’s the hurry?” Mic asked.

“Well, everyone is going to be there, I don’t want to waste any more time.”

“Ok,” Mic said, pulling out his keys.  “Let’s go.”

McMurphy’s Tavern

Mac walked in looking for the Admiral.  She wanted to avoid him if possible since she wasn’t sure if she could keep her composure.  Too late!  AJ was walking straight for her.

“Well it is about time, Mac!  Where have you been?” he asked.  Mac smiled at the floor.

“Sir, I had to take her home.  She didn’t have a towel,” Mic jumped in to answer.

“Are you blushing, Colonel?” AJ inquired.

Quickly looking around the room, Mac stammered out, “No, I am just hot.  Excuse me.  I need to go to the ladies room.”  Confusing everyone, she pushed through and ran into the bathroom.  Mac locked herself in a stall, and laughed out loud.  “I will never be able to look him in the eye, again,” she said.
