Hello kids.... It’s been a harrowing two and a half years since Reno Divorce graced the stage at your local punk venue (dive), but at last the wait is over. Staying true to their punk and roots influences, the new material paints a portrait of society that most people pretend not to see. Vignettes about broken homes, broken hearts, and broken hopes litter the sonic landscape, set against a background of blues, punk, and even c&w. The end result is songwriting at its best and purest form without compromising its musicianship. Singer, songwriter, and guitarists Brent Loveday coolly commands his lascivious lieutenants through a high-energy tour of the gutter with the prowess of a seasoned captain. Tony Owens, a founding member, continues to lay his patented white noise down on rhythm guitar, playing fill in the blanks to Loveday's leads. With the edition of Seth Evans and Brian Sweetman (both from Kentucky Stew) on bass and drums, the mixture is complete and brought to it's boiling point.
Look for Reno Divorce show dates in the Westward and check back for updates. And for the love of Christ, support your local punk scene.....
