Fear in ‘91

War has come

My dreams for peace

Have faded into darkness

My prayers are stronger

I pray now for peace

So there is light around me

The people talk

More fear and anger

Where will it end

I don’t know

Is it too late for us

No! It cannot be!

Freedom will take the place

There is a song in my heart

That says to love

Through the veil of hatred

Surrounding us all

Sooner or later

It will break through

For there are others

That sing the song too

And through it all

I still dream

I still hope

I still wait for a better time

And I watch the others around me
