With Effa, my elder sister, when we were four. Nope ! We are NOT twins. She is 10 months older, and we were born in the same year. I can still vividly remember the 'story' behind this picture. *smiles* Look at my eyes. We were almost always together - right from the day I was born. Went through school and university togeder-geder also what ! Inseparable ! My partner in crime. Dialah racun dialah penawar. My strength my weakness my friend my foe. But most of all, she is my true poem. Bak kata Pak Usman Awang : "Dia tak pernah tahu apa itu panas, kerana dia itulah apinya." |

| I am a paradox. A 'chatterbox' who likes quiet corners. A traveler who misses home every second. A writer who reads between the lines. A sunflower that blooms on rainy days. A half-Chinese-half-Indian Malaysian who thinks and speaks in English almost all the time but deeply in love with the beauty of her mother tongue. A liberal conventionalist who is predictably unpredictable. That's what I am. A paradox. 'Hujan Panas' called my mother. |
| Scarborough (Perth, Australia) was my home for almost 3 years before moving to Muscat (Oman - Middle East) in September 2000. June 2001, I mobilized to Milan (Italy) and spent a year there. I just came back from Calgary (Canada) November last year (2003). As of March 2004, i.e. sixteen months and a baby later, I am now back in Oman. Oh man ! Yeah, I have been traveling quite a bit for the past six years. But no matter how far I roam, Malaysia will always be my HOME. Always. |

| I am glad Dad named me Enida and Mom liked it, too. Dad wanted me to be an author like Enid Blyton. He still does and I think I am...an author in the making. This page is basically about who I was, who I am and who I have been...in between. Don't ask me whom I will be like. I just know what I want to be. But I guess so far, I am happy just being me. I write. I sing. I travel. And I think. A lot. There are pictures of my favorite things on this page. You just have to see them to see me. |
