The photo above shows the left wing skeleton with the two bottom skins temporarily installed.  Each wing has 6 skins:  2 bottom, 2 top, 1 leading edge, and 1 fuel tank skin.

The photo above shows the left wing with 2 bottom skins and the leading edge skin.  The leading edge skin comes with a partial bend in it but it is up to the builder to fabricate a wing cradle for making the final bend to give the airfoil shape.  A rib is traced onto plywood to get the correct shape.

The photo shows the left wing with the two bottom skins, the leading edge skin (top right) and the fuel tank skin (top left).  You’re looking at the bottom of the wing.  The three holes are for access to the bolts that hold the fuel tank to the main spar.  The holes will be covered with recessed covers.  As of end of May 2002, 11 of the 12 skins, making up both wings, have been drilled, deburred, and dimpled.
