Here is the aft fuselage clecoed together. The front bulkhead shown will be just behind the canopy on the finished airplane. There are two more bulkheads, the firewall and the F705, which make up the cockpit. These have been built but not yet been assembled to the skins. It is exciting to see big pieces of the plane go together.
No complaints about the Van's pre-drilled kit. The whole thing was square after it clecoed together.
This is the cockpit side of the firewall. The white brackets will bolt to the engine mount later. The gold (anodized) pieces in the background are part of the center section that will hold the wings on.
The tailwheel comes from Van's mostly complete but a hole is needed through the white bracket into the tailwheel rod.
