I finally flew the plane on August 3, 2004. We got an early start and took off about 6:30am. I flew for an hour. The airplane flew great and I didn't have any problems except for a weak radio transmission (which turned out to be an easily-fixed wiring problem.) My landing was very good considering I'd never technically landed one of these before. All of my training had been just flying around in my friend Dan's RV6. That turned out to be a huge benefit since the airplanes are so similar.
