month of August, the Velia Teatro stages performances of ancient Greek
and Roman plays by various Italian theatre groups on the acropolis of
Elea/Velia.
Velia Festival. Concerts
with classical music and operas in the month of August.
First Tuesday in August, the annual Sant' Antonio di Padova festival.
