Renee Touriel's Rescue Haven
Renee Touriel, a retired schoolteacher, has been doing rescue work
for the past 10 years. When Suki,her first rescue, walked into
her life, Renee began her rescue work and became
an angel to all unwanted and unloved animals.Other rescue groups
from around the country contact her for financial support,
and she always sends money to help. She sends care
packages with collars, dog bowls,
leashes, and toys to the animal shelters.
Renee's OWN Bluesette !!
Rescued from a pet store...her health was a great concern.
After much care, love, and fostering...Renee now calls Bluesette her OWN !!
Renee Touriel on Rescue Work:
"My father loved animals also.....we have always had dogs
in our home.....
I really started the rescue 10 years ago when I became
very depressed
due to the loss of my favorite dog of all times that I
bought at the Beverly
Center...the same store that Bluesette comes
from.....the one I lost more
than 10 years ago was a westie, about 4
years old....too young to die.
Then , Suki came into my
life and I recovered...he rescued me...
and thats how I feel about
rescue dogs...they rescue me !!!!!!!!
They give me a purpose to
live.....they are innocent, loving creatures.
I just feel I must
do my best to help save the sick, sad,unwanted, lost dogs.....
its a big
job......making the cards and helping the dogs is something I must
continue to do......the cards help spread the word about rescue.....
I
did not know anything about dog rescue until I was educated on the
matter
by the SPCA lady......I hope to help educate people about
puppymills as well."
