RENEE SAT OUT RUN WITH HEEL PROBLEM

Actress Renee Zellweger is appalled by news she quit a charity race to go shopping - she's actually suffering from a painful heel injury known as Plantar fasciitis. The Chicago star was forced to sit out of Saturday's Revlon charity run/walk in Times Square, New York. But she's miffed by reports she simply went and had a coffee instead. She says, "I didn't get to run because I have this stupid Planters fasciitis and I've been benched under no circumstances. I have my surgery in June." But the event itself wasn't lost on the actress - and she was delighted to join Julianne Moore and Jennifer Connelly at the fundraiser. She explains, "The day was very emotional. It was so beautiful. Someone asked me what my perfect day off would be and I thought that was. "It's so inspiring and it rekindles your faith in humanity. When so many people show up on behalf of the comfort of people they don't even know to help the people they don't even know, it's so beautiful to see that goodness. "So many people showed up and it was cloudy and rainy and yucky. It was great to see that bright, bright light in Times Square - all that unified hope."
