My Testimony
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

God has been so good to me in my lifetime.  I was raised in a trinitarian Pentecostal church that was pastored by my Grandfather.  When my Grandmother passed away in 1990, my Mom and I sort of fell away from church.  Thank the Lord that I never did drugs, drank, or smoked, but I was still lost.  In the summer of 1994 my uncle started attending a UPCI church.  We had always went to church together as a family, so he asked us to go with him there.  God really moved on all of my family that attended.  The only problem what that the doctorine was different than what they were taught.  My Mom and I were touched and felt lead to stay at that church.  I was refilled with the Holy Ghost the second service I attended, and was baptized in Jesus Name the following January.  I went to that church until August of 1999, when I married Jason.  We moved to Alabama and things started to fall apart.

Four months after we were married, he started having medical problems.  He couldn't work because of it and I couldn't work because I needed to take care of him.  We applied for him to receive disability, but the U.S. Government happens to be REALLY slow when you want them to be fast.  We went for six months with nothing but $31 coming in every month.  God provided us with everything that we needed.  All of our bills were payed, maybe sometimes late, but never cut off at all.  My God is so awesome, words could never express to you how grateful we are to Him for what He has done for us.

We lived in Alabama for the first 3 years of our marriage.  We moved about every year to another town where God wanted us to be.  We lived in Arizona for two years.  While we were there, my Grandfather became VERY sick and my youngest Aunt passed away.  Also, Jason had a stroke that left his left side weak and his left leg drags.  It was a very trying time while we were there, but God seen us thru it all.

We have now moved back to Alabama.  On July 11, 2005 Jason had another stroke.  This one effected the same side as the first one.  He recovered pretty quickly.  He is still trying to get back all the use of his left hand and arm.  It is taking some time, but things seem to be doing better.  He was only in the hospital for three and a half days.  He had some Physical Therapy for his hand.  That ended after we went through Hurricane Katrina.  (That is a whole other story in itself.)  I am just thankful that he is still here with me.
