LONG ILLNESS IS ENDED BY DEATH
Mrs. John Stickney, Sr. passed away Saturday

Mrs. John Stickney, Sr., a pioneer resident of Marquette, passed away at her home, 319 Harrison street, Saturday night after an illness of several months. Although her death was not unexpected, it was a shock to her many relatives and friends.
She was born in Guelph, Ontario seventy years ago.
Besides her husband, the deceased is mourned by eight sons and two daughters. The sons are John, Frank, and Ceibert, of Marquette; James and Oreal, of Virginia, Minn.; Arthur of Hibbing, Minn., and Joseph and Charles ,of Oakland, Calif.
The daughters are Mrs. Arthur J. Henne, of Marquette, and Mrs.Edward Dobbs, of Negaunee. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Sarah Wadley, of Kankakee, Ill., and two brothers, Maurice Mc.Ginnis, of Superior, Wis., and Joseph Mc.Ginnis, of Kankakee, Ill., and forty four grandchildren.
Mrs. Stickney was a member and ardent worker of the Alter Society of St. Peter's Cathedral and of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Ancient order ofHibernians.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock in St. Peter's
Cathedral with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery
