| Funeral services were held this week in Detroit for J. Leroy (Ty) Stickney, a native of Marquette who died Sunday in Mt. Sinai Hospital, Detroit, following a heart attack. Burial was in Holy Sepuchre Cemetery, Detroit. He attended elementary and secondary schools in Marquette, and had lived in Detroit about 25 years. Surviving Mr. Stickney are his wife, Lorraine; eight children and a number of grandchildren; a brother, Frank Stickney, Marquette; and six sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Ghiardi, Gwinn, Mrs.Bernedette Jones, and Mrs. Leo (Hazel) Schunk, Marquette; Mrs.Loretta Nault, Ithaca, Mrs. Paul (Florence) Matte, Orlando,Fla., and Mrs. Lloyd (Eileen) Vashaw, Detroit, and several nieces and nephews. |
