| Frederick L. Stickney, 69, 0f 222 S. 61st Ave. W., died Wednesday in St.Mary's Hospital. He was born in Virginia and had lived in Duluth since 1941. He retired in 1977 from Diamond Tooland Horseshoe Co., and formerly was a draftsman for the Duluth City Planning Department. He had also worked at the Butler Shipyards, Coolerator Co., Butler Mine in Bwabik, W.K.Manufacturing and Mathisen Tire Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, West Duluth Post 71 of the American Legion and the Memorial Senior Citizens Center. Surviving are his wife, Anna Marie; three daughters, Charlotte Becker of Saginaw,; Charlene Engebretson of Las Vegas, Nev, and Rose Marie Wade of Liverpool, Calif.; a son, Frederick J., of Redding, Calif.; two sisters, Natalie Williams of Burlingame, Calif., and Edith Pearce of Los Angeles; two brothers, James B. of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Donald V. of Virginia; 31 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.today in Good Shepherd Church, where memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be no visitation.
