| Bernard J. Stickney APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz--- Funeral services for Bernard J. Stickney, 88, of Apache Junction, Ariz., were held Aug. 14 at Kubler Apache Junction Mortuary Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apache Junction Senior Citizens Council in care of the chapel. He died Aug. 10 at his home. He was born in Hermansville, Mich., to James and Hattie Stickney, formerly of Virginia. He was a retired machinist for General Motors Corporation. He lived in Pontiac, Mich., before his retirement and lived in Red Lodge, Mont., before moving to Apache Junction in 1972. He was a World War I Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Senior Citizens Council of Apache Junction. Survivors include a step daughter, Lillian Matson of Mesa, Ariz.; sons Bernard J. of Auburn Hills, Mich., and John of DeForest, Wis.; stepson Ray Lindquist of Sedona, Ariz; sisters, Edith, of Rosemead, Calif.; and Natalie of Burlingame, Calif.; a brother, Donald of Virginia; 16 grandchildren; one greatgrandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was prceded in death by his wife, Eileen (Sarri); second wife Gertrude (Heikkinen-Lindquist); a daughter Betty Jane (Farmer); his parents, James and Hattie Stickney; brothers, Roland, Maurice, Lawrence, Fred and Adrian; and sister, Alice(LaLonde). |
