Leona Schutte
  BARAGA - Mrs. Leona E. Schutte, 84, of Baraga, died Saturday night at Baraga County Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for 10 days.
   Born March 7, 1908 in Baraga, she was a daughter to Adlore and Delia (Bohmier) Dompier.  She attended the Baraga schools and later married Joseph Schutte May 13, 1928 in Baraga.
   She was employed as a cook for the Baraga County Memorial Hospital for several years and also was employed with the Baraga-Houghton Keweenaw Community Action Agency.  She retired in 1983 and was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church of Baraga, Lady Foresters, Secular Francesian Order, Baraga County Charismatics and the Foucault-Funke post 444 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
   Surviving are one son, James of Baraga; two daughters, Mrs William (Sis) Kayramo of L'Anse and Mrs. Fred (Carole) Ojala of Baraga; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and a grandson.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Anne Catholic Church in Baraga, with the Rev. Phillip Naessens officiating.  Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery.
   Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Sirard Funeral Home in Baraga where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. and an auxiliay service at 7:30 p.m.
