| Prison Officer Died Saturday in University Hospital, Ann Arbor, After Operation. |
| Funeral services will be held at 8:30 o'clock tomorrow morning in St. Peter's cathedral for Albert F. Remortel, 35 years of age, who died Saturday morning in the University hospital, Ann Arbor, where he submitted to an operation. About three weeks ago Mr. Remortal, while eating his dinner, had a small bone lodge in his throat. He was advised to have treatment in the University hospital. The body was received here yesterday afternoon and was taken to the home, 214 Fisher street. Mr. Remortel was born here September 17, 1895. He was employed as an officer at the Marquette branch prison for nine years. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, a son, Donald, and three daughters, Frances, Lucille and Elaine; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Remortel, of Marquette; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Freed and Mrs. William Ashmun, of Marquette, and the following uncles and aunts; Julius Remortel and Peter Remortel, of Marquette; Phillip Remortel, of Laurium; Mr. and Mrs. Dorie Varebrook, of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Farrell, of Marquette. Burial will be made in Holy Cross cemetery. |
