| PELKIE - John A Peterson, 32 of Pelkie, died Thursday afternoon at home following an illness of 4 months. He was born March 5, 1964 in L'Anse, a son of Reuben and Mary (LaBeau) Peterson. He graduated from the Baraga High School in 1982. John was employed by Carriage Tours of Mackinac Island for 6 years, Connor Forest Products of Baraga for 2 years, and the Pettibone Corporation of Baraga for 2 years. He was a member of the Pelkie Volunteer Fire Department, and the N.R.A. Surviving are 4 brothers, Reuben (Vicki) Peterson of Chassell, Mi, Joseph (Phyllis) Peterson and Steven both of Baraga, and Dale of Cedarville, Mi; 1 sister, Mrs Cheryl (Frank) Collins of L'Anse; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for John will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the Sirard Funeral Home, Baraga with Pastor Larry Saunders officiating. Spring burial will be in the Pelkie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sirard Funeral Home Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services Sunday. |
