| ISHPEMING- William Pellow, age 81, formerly of 308 S. Third St., Ishpeming died Saturday August 1, 1998 at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee, where he had resided for the past 6 months. William was born February 4, 1917 in Ishpeming to the late William L. & Myrtle (Ongie) Pellow. Mr. Pellow served in the United States Army during World War II in France & Germany. He worked for the C.C.I. Co. for many years, retiring from the Tilden Mine in 1978 as a tool crib attendant. He was a member of the Negaunee Eagles, the Ishpeming V.F.W. and was an avid deer hunter. Survivors include 2 sons, Dale Pellow of Kent, WA & William (Patricia) Pellow of Ishpeming; a daughter Sandra (James) Sodergren of Ishpeming; a sister Mary Houseman of Negaunee, 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; along with several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Annette on February 21, 1998; a brother Leonard and a sister Dorothy Melka. Private funeral services will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Lee to officiate. Burial will be in the Ishpeming Cemetery. |
