| YUCAIPA, CA - Reginald T. McGinnis, age 85 of 13060 2nd st., Space #3, Yucaipa, CA died Saturday October 11, 1997 at the Hampton Manor in Yucaipa, CA, where he had been a patient for the past week. Reginald was born July 25, 1912 in Michigamme to the late Thomas & Leada (Dompierre) McGinnis. He was a 1930 graduate of the Michigamme High School. He worked for the Inland Steel Co. for 25+ years as an underground miner at the Greenwood Mine, after his retirement from mining he did maintenance work for the City of Ishpeming at City Hall. He was active in the St Vincent DePaul society and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree. He was a former member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming, In 1980 he moved to California from Ishpeming. Survivors include his wife Viena of Yucaipa, CA, 2 daughters, Joanne (Dean) DeBaere of Green Bay, Wi, and Mary and (John) Hanlon of Rochester, MN; a sister Della Dishnow of Michigamme; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Audrey in 1980, a brother Bert Whalen and a grandson Sean Hoskins. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 18th at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Moncher to officiate. Inurnment will be in the Ishpeming Cemetery. The Family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the services at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home. |
