| MICHIGAMME - Eino Hyry, 88, of HCR 1, Box 2002, Michigamme, died Monday evening, Dec 5 1994, at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Township, where he was a patient for nine months. He was born Sept 14, 1906 in Champion, to John and Liisa Hyry, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Champion High School. Mr. Hyry worked for the North Range Mining Co. for many years prior to retiring. He was a member of Our Redeemer Luthern Church in Champion and enjoyed walking, cross country skiing, hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Ellen of Ishpeming Township; three daughters, June (Arne) Eliason and Judith (Donald) Hamari, both of Michigamme, and Jewel (Douglas) Duhame of Ishpeming; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Francis; four brothers, Oscar, Rudy, Edward and George; and two sisters, Emily and Jennie. A memorial service is planned for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Larry Lange officiating. The family will greet friends in the church all following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming is in charge of arrangements. |
