| Death Claims 90-Year-Old Edward Dobbs |
| Edward Dobbs, 90, a resident ot Marquette County for 80 years died at 3:45 yesterday afternoon in the Freeman Convalescent Home, near Iron Mountain, following an illness of two years. Mr. Dobbs had been in the convalescent home since Aug. 1, 1957. He was born on March 22, 1868, in New York State. He had lived in Negaunee for 39 years and was employed as a custodian for 25 years by the Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Co. He retired in 1930. Prior to being in the convalescent home, he had made his home in Marquette with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Normand. He is survived by three sons, Leo, Munising, Vertin, Negaunee , and Clarence, Marquette; five daughters, Mrs Marie Seiler, Kingsford; Mrs V. J. (Elsie) Trombley, Kalamazoo; Mrs. R. A. (Luella) Taylor and Mrs. Helen Young, Los Angeles, and Mrs Henry (Edna) Normand, Marquette; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. There are several nieces and nephews. |
