| MICHIGAMME - Leah E. Dishnow, age 87 of 120 railroad St., Michigamme died Sunday June 25, 2000 at the Marquette General Hospital where she had been a patient since Friday. Leah was born February 28, 1913 in Michigamme to the late Michael and May Delia (Raymeau) Treado. She was a graduate of Michigamme High School, Class of 1931 and attended Northern Normal (N.M.U.). She was a lifelong Michigamme resident and a former member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband of 62 years Alvern Dishnow of Michigamme, a son Michael (Diane) Dishnow of Soldiers Grove, Wi; 2 daughters, Kathleen (Kenneth) Niemi of Port Huron, Mi and Marlene (Morgan) Pierce of Leslie, Mi; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 2 nieces Ruth Smith of Newark, DE and Grace Hammond of Fernandina Beach, FL. A sister Edith Wolfe, a brother Royale Treado and a grandson Michael Paul Dishnow preceded her in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 28, 2000 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Champion with the Rev. Fr. Edward Wenzel to officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Michigamme. Friends may call at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Michael & Diane Dishnow, Kenneth and Kellan Niemi, and Morgan & Shannon Pierce. Memorials may be directed to the Meals on Wheels Program. The Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
