AN OLD SETTLER DEAD
Joseph Dishno, who had resided in Champion for the past twentythree years, died on Friday night of last week.  He had been ailing for the past few years and for a year or more he had been confined to the house.

Deceased was about seventy years of age, and is survived by his widow and five adult sons and daughters.  A large number of grandchildren, some great-grandchildren and several other relatives live in the Upper Peninsuls.  Quite a lot of his relatives live in Champion and Michigamme.

The funeral was held Monday morning from the Catholic church under direction of the local French society, in which deceased held membership.  The society turned out in a body and the attendance of friends was large.  Services were conducted at the church and also at the grave by Reb. Father Girard, the pastor.
