THE BALL!

The Seahorse Ball, in Melbourne was a wonderful night, it was my first social event as Rene, and I met my Melbourne internet friends for the first time at Petas house. Claire Louise, Peta, Jessica and Nikki, they made me feel so welcome and accepted. My friend Siobhan was there too, she had just moved to Melbourne. I wasn't drinking, (driving duties) but I had a great time chatting and getting to know the girls.

When we (finally) arrived at the Ball, it was already in full swing, they were just starting to serve dinner! We finished our meals, then it was time for the show! , with beautiful T girls in gorgeous gowns. After the show the dance floor started, I was nervous at first, but thought what the hell, and joined in. To my surprise a lovely young girl took my hand, and we danced for three songs or so, and at the end we hugged and she walked away. It was so sweet!

We finished the night back at Peta's for more drinkies, chatting away for hours..
We made a date for lunch at a local restaurant the next day, and this was a new thing for me, venturing out to a luncheon in broad daylight! We had a lovely lunch and Peta picked up the bill.. Thanks sweety..
