| INTRO: Cardinal Sin was once asked what his secret was for not smoking. SIN: Will power! Reporter: For not drinking? SIN: Will power! Reporter: For not indulging in sex? SIN: Power Failure!!! There are now various concepts regarding this subject. a.)Playboy concept to prove that the person is really a somebody in his own circle. b.)Monastic That sex is totally not necessary, because it is the direct by-product of sin. c.)Moderates They keep the balance. I. THE OLD & NEW TESTAMENT VIEW OF The Act of Marriage: Ecclesiastes 9:9; Prov.18:19 Concepts recorded in I Corinthians 7:2-5: 1.Both husband and wife have sexual needs and drives that should be fulfilled in a marriage. 2.When marries, he forfeits control of his body to his partner. 3.Both partners are forbidden to refuse the meeting of the mates sexual needs. 4.God approves the Act of Marriage. NOTE: Intercourse is beyond comparison the mostsatisfying means of ejaculation, but this in turn can be accomp-lished by the act of marriage, by prostitution, or by adultery.Only ONE of these however, is accompanied by a clear consciencemarried love. II WHAT LOVE MAKING MEANS. 1.The act of marriage is vitally significant to the husband for at least three (3) reasons: A.It satisfies his sex drive. The male in all species of living creatures have stronger sex drive. God designed man to be the aggressor, provider, and leader of his family. Somehow, that is tied to his sex drive (I Tim. 5:8). These drives are a gift of God to produce the motivation for procreation (Psalm 127:3-5). It is a wise woman who coope-rates with that need rather that fights against it. B.It reduces friction in the home. Another result of satisfying relationship between a couple is that it tends to reduce minor irrita-tions in the home. Believe it or not: According to recent research, A sexually satis-fied man is usually a conten-ted man. Most men do not realize that some of mens unexplained irritations can often be traced to an unsatis-fied sex drive(Dr.Margarita Holmes, GMA interview Oct.1999). C.It provides lifes most exciting experience. The titanic emotions and physical explosions that culminates the acts of marriage for the husband is easily the most exciting experience he enjoys, at least on a repeatable basis. A sexually satisfied husband is a moti-vated man. 2.Let us consider two (2) significant areas that show what love making means to a woman: A.It fulfills her womanhood. A wife is more than a mother or a homemaker; she is also a sexual partner to her mate. The act of marriage builds self-image. B.It reassures her of her husbands love. The one point on which psychologist agree is that all people have basic need to be loved. This is generally truer of women than men. Women have a tremendous capacity for love, both giving and receiving. III. FOUR KINDS OF LOVE REQUIRED BY A WOMAN. 1.Companionship Love. 2.Compassionate Love. 3.Romantic Love. 4.Affectionate Love. CONCLUSION: Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is as strong as death. Jealousy as cruel as the grave; its flames of fire, a most vehement flame. (Song of Solomon 8:6) IF YOU HAVE ANY COMMENTS, PLEASE E-MAIL ME NOW... Dr.Rene A. Layco |
