Renato Rasiko is one of the most
appealing painter at the moment in Brazilian Art.
The concept of his art, defined by himself, is that “it is a big
playfulness searching for a deep consciousness, as I believe, life should be”.
Considered by experts as a very original and creative in his expression, is also
viewed, by the same people, as a master in combining and harmonizing colors.
Rasiko defines color as light and light as information: “The color
take us to see life as a game, to everything that comes spontaneously and
joyfully from the unconsciouss mind; the light enlighten the dark side of the
same unconsciouss mind, bringing out the true and deep information which has
been hidden from the human species since long ago”.
These are, in his opinion, the three things most necessary to the evolution of
humanity: Color -the non serious, but responsible vision; light - enlightening
the path of humankind; and information - necessary to transform the actual state
of ignorance to a state of more evolved understanding.
Without being through any academic school of arts, although researching with
colors for long time, makes the intuition the guide for his work.
Using basically recicled material, from furniture to objects tooked from the
urban garbage to the frames of his pictures which can be painted over wood,
glass, paper or even canvas, he says that “doesn’t matter the material,
my goal is to paint it and make it more beautiful. I believe that beauty doesn’t
need explanation; she is enough into herself”.
His last exposition in Brasilia, capital of Brazil, in October 2003, was
remarkable and considered by the staff of Renato Russo Cultural Space Gallery,
the most beautiful and complete in the last three years.
Sponsored by Coral Paints, has created his own unique style and techniques which
are his brand mark.
P.S: "The titles are dedicated to my muses, the most beautiful in the world".
