| Hello to those of you who don't know me, and to those who do. My name is Gwen, or so I like to be called, and I am a college student at East Carolina University. I plan on majoring in History with a concentration in European Hisotry and minoring in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. Everyone say that it fits my personality very well. I can be very random and strange at time, but I just say I'm unique. At first I never thought that I would think about the possibility of graduate school, but I may go to grad school and look at studying Medieval and Renaissance things. I also would like to work in a museum after I graduate, and possibly do history reinactments, and I'm looking into being a memeber of the SCA, or the Society for Creative Anachronisms. For fun I like to read and watch movies, and I'm on my computer almost ALL the time, I really am. The quote at the top of the page is actually from one of my favorite movies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I have this saying that, "Everything in live can be related, in some way, to Monty Python and the Holy Grail." I love to collect quotes, and take pictures, as you can see by the rest of my website, which is mainly quotes and pictures. :-) Music is also a big part of my life. I have played the piano for about 10 years and I have played the clarinet for about 8 years. I also love to sing. I've been in choirs before, but never really much of a solo singer. I've decided to sing again, and I'll be in the University Chorale next semester at ECU. I also have a passion for theater, although I've never been in many plays or been much of the acting type. I would love to be able to act. I'm really not too picky, I eat about anything. Music: alternative,rock, some heavy metal, contemporary christian, swing, classical, just about anything, etc... Movies: I'd have to say my all time favorite is Ever After. Second on the list comes Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Next comes Shakespeare in Love, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Kate and Leopold, The Matrix, Emperor's New Groove, You've Got Mail, Tomb Raider, Fight Club, Practical Magic, My Fair Lady...I have way too many favorite movies... Books: Another topic where the list is too long. A few are: His Dark Materials Series: The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass, Harry Potter Series, Lord of the Rings, Catcher int the Rye, Invitation to the Game, 1984,Brave New World, Farenheit 451, Hamlet, Macbeth.... Favorite Shakespeare play: Hamlet, no contest. |
