Black and blue leaves in your tears red radiance,
Gone in your smile.
The stars stay the same, the moon changes face,
Your mind can stutter and your heart can race.
Possies and gifts are shallow and meaningless,
the depth what you need is far from home.
Your path is shadowed every time,
The sun only glistens when you hear its rhyme,
Your stare always searching for a face never there.
It's a long way to walk, you can't help but look back,
This you'll keep doing when there's something still lacked.
When you find the bright rainbow you'll reap the rewards,
Don't look in the empty behind you, look what is forward.
