Childrens Crusade

The silver sound of someone singing,
Rang on the air like silver bells themselves,
The joyous music they were bringing.
Sounding clear across the fells.
They were marching in formation,
Guided by a heavenly light,
Singing hymns of jubilation,
Marching onward through the night.
And children of every nation,
Had found the wisdom that adults did lack.
Risen up in indignation.
Every child had heard the call,
And decided they were brothers,
Saw no differences at all,
Theres just us there and no others.
What now would this insane world do?
Cast asidethe predjudice,
And join with the children, start anew,
To make this world a paradise.
Fall back on entrenched positions,
Which they had held so long,
Cling fast to their divisions,
Or listen to the childrens songs.
I telll you all this story,
So you must stand aside,
The day is coming,
When our children will say,
Peace will reign and you will pay
