Finally got to switch to riding the BIRD at a fuel stop at Machap and it was such a relief. Hitting 240kmh was such a breeze and stressless. Just wished was wearing leathers instead of the Clover touring jacket which vigorously shook my torso.
And while having a cruising speed at 190kmh, an ALFA 156 suddenly began tailgating us. Me on the Bird decided to slowly shift lanes and allow the car to overtake. But the damn asshole decided to nearly knock us down. It sped quickly to 240+kmh and was gone in 3 seconds. With the usual hot head I have, it's just a twist of the throttle to tail the Alfa immediately.
The Alfa saw me tailing him and he floored the accelerator to 260+kmh. Undaunted by his actions(coz riding the bird), I tailed him to a car's length. Suddenly, I saw a turn coming up. And at the point of entrance, I checked the speedo and I was surprised myself, 274kmh on the dial! No shit, man!
I proceeded to taking the corner, thinking it's a wide one and started banking. To my surprise, I was having a fucking big windblast from the side as if I'm hitting a tidal wave! My reflexes came to work and I closed the throttle and was turning wide into the next lane. Stretched out my knee, got some wind to pull me in, and started tapping on the LBS(linked braking system). I was nearly out into the gravel by then at about 220kmh!.
The lack of experience running though a wide corner through prevailing winds, nearly costed my life.
