| Lizette Sanchez 'Undefeated' (2003) |
| We first see her enjoying the sights and sounds of a nightclub with her manager/boyfriend, Mac. That is, of course, until Lex Vargas (played by John Leguizamo) comes onto the scene. We get a little flirty action between the two, until they eventually get together.
Lizette is still seeing Mac when shes with Lex, and often uses her sister as her excuse when really she's in Lex's bed. Lizettes own career is a storyline often explored, with us even being able to see a music video for her song. Although Vanessa doesnt actually sing the song, she does an awesome job of lip-syncing and choreography. Not being a fan of the sport of boxing myself, I wasnt too interested in the main plot, apart from Vanessas scenes obviously. But after having watched it a couple of times, Ive really grown to love this film. The main premise of this movie is relationships and trust. Can you really stay down-to-earth when youve hit the big-time? How are your friends going to react to the new lifestyle? Who can you really trust: Friends for life or Friends for five minutes? Lex goes through some hard times when everything around him is unrecognisable. He doesnt know who to trust, and even goes so far as to accuse Lizette of only being with him because Mac paid her too. Something we know is untrue. She truly loves Lex, and he eventually realises this. Overall, I love this film. Vanessa gives a stellar performance, and demands the audiences attention when shes onscreen. A must for all Vanessa fans! A/N: This film does contain partial female nudity on Vanessas part, and scenes of a sexual nature |
