| The Royal Marriages, Part 4: The Manchild with the Rod of Iron. The 144,000. Endnotes 1. The thoroughly-Hebraic Book of Jasher, written long before the Christian era, says this about the ram that Abram substituted for Isaac: ...that was the ram which the Lord God had created in the earth in the day that he made earth and heaven. For the Lord had prepared this ram from that day, to be a burnt offering instead of Isaac. Jasher 23:70-71 Revelation 13:8 speaks of Jesus Christ in exactly the same way: ...the Lamb [prepared to be] slain from the foundation of the world. Likewise, 1 Peter 1:19-20: ...the precious blood of Christ...a lamb without blemish and without spot...was foreordained from the foundation of the world. return 2. "40 days" (possibly the 40th day, i.e., 40 days inclusive) from Abib 18, the day of Firstfruits: 2nd month, 15th day (Ex. 16:2), plus 7 days (Ex. 16:12, 26f.), plus 3 days (Num. 33:12, 13, 14; Jash. 81:50, 51), plus 2-3 days (Ex. 17:1f., 9f.: Jash. 81:52f.) = 2nd month, 27th or 28 day. The 27th was the 40th day, the 28th was 40 days from Abib (1st month) 18. Months in the Mosaic era all had 30 days. See Sacred History, Sacred Times, Appendix E, "The Chronology of the Exodus Era," for a more detailed explanation. It is likewise unclear whether the period between Christ's Resurrection and Ascension was counted as 40 inclusive or 40 full days. return |
