Mocha has been bounced around throughout the family a bit. She was originally my fiance's parent's horse (they had 3 horses at the time that Mike, my fiance, & I got together). They bred their beautiful bay tobiano Paint mare, Star, and Mocha is the lovely result! As Mike's parents aged, they decided to give their horses to their daughter. Well, after some time, Mike's sister & her husband began to complain that they couldn't do anything with her ('nor did they have the time - since they own an operational dairy farm). Of course they couldn't do anything with her - she was a 3y/o filly still at her dam's side (I witnessed her still trying to suckle)!! So, I offered to take her. And now here she is. I've been slowly but surely making progress with her. She's still very "flippity" & needs to be put in her place on a daily basis, but she has made progress. I've been working with her feet & she's getting better with that too. I'm hoping to possibly get a saddle on her back by this summer. I've already been putting my own weight on her back (leaning on her & such) & she's been taking it all in stride. I think once she's broke, she'll be an awesome trail horse! She has a lot of get up & go & has quite a spirit. I love her, she's a great addition to our barn!

Mocha - Summer of '06 - isn't she pretty?

"The Grazing Trio" - I just love this shot! {Summer '06}

This was Mocha's first day with the rest of the gang. What an awesome sight to watch - they were galloping around for at least an hour!! This was when we still owned Tracker too. {Spring '06}

The above photos were again of Mocha's first few days with us. Please, excuse the mud!

I think she has a gorgeously petite profile. :)

Mocha seems to have buddied up with Remington. Such a cute pair!

Another shot of Mocha's other side, she's got great markings!
