A special tribute page dedicated to Ty on his Birthday
Feb. 10, 2003

Before you read,
Know I am sane,
I'm just hurting,
Overflowing with  pain.
My thoughts, my words are often to Ty,
At times it make more sense,
Talk to him as if he hears,
And not as in past tense.

And yet I know,
He is not here but he's at rest,
Home with our Lord,
Cause the Lord know's best.
And so I cry, I write and pray,
Live for my Lord and look to see Ty someday.
Happy Birthday

I bought a pair of boots today,
A special gift for you.
It's wild... you had a birthday,
And yet you're still 42.
I had to buy you those cowboy boots,
So all who visit will see,
Under the blue skies and grassy  hill,
Lies the greatest cowboy to me.

I visited  the farm,

Twas a hard thing to do,
I thought it would make me feel close to you.
I met Nancy; we talked, laughed and cried,
She never knew you were a cowboy,
Unitl she saw you ride.
She shard her memories from a bright sunny day,
When you set aside work, to ride and to play.
She talked of the trails and a ride through the meadow.

How you let the horse gallop,
With storm lightning speed,
Made him feel like a Block horse steed.

She cried as she talked of the cowboy she knew,
Memories like these are all we have of you.
So Happy Birthday Ty, I love you today,
I only wish you were here to play.

"Wind Beneath My Wings"

It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strain.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth,
of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.

I could fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Did I ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.
And instead of that dreeby birthday song,
That everyone always sings,
Here's a song from me, to you......
You are the "Wind Beneath My Wings"
