This is a replica of the DeLorean sports car used in the Michael J. Fox film, Back to the Future.�
The car was the brainchild of former GM
executive John Z. DeLorean and it featured a stainless steel body and gull-wing doors.� It was an innovative design and a fine Grand Touring car.� But, some magazine writers said that it never had the powerplant to give it the right amount of punch to enter the top ranks of the exotic car world.
DeLorean desperately tried anything to save his company and was busted in 1982 for his part in a conspiracy to purchase cocaine with the intent to distribute it.� A total of 8500 DeLoreans were produced in Northern Ireland, but the company closed it's doors in 1982.
